Field Trips: Flex-Fridays
Flex-Fridays are a unique day where we get to learn through special experiences and recreational activities. Our students have fun experiencing history and nature when visiting local treasures in and nearby Williamsburg. Additionally, we will conduct service activities at a local nursing home and humane society to teach the youth how to give back to the community. We also reserve time on Flex-Fridays for review games and our normal devotions. Once per month, we conduct a Chapel program where the student's creative arts and talents are utilized. The whole family is welcome to participate!

Colonial Williamsburg
After meandering through Colonial Williamsburg, we will finish the day with a tour to learn how ice cream is made at Kilwins!
Jamestown Settlement and Beach
Stepping back into time will be fun when we visit Jamestown Settlement and make new friends. Afterwards, we will cross over to Jamestown Beach for a picnic and recreation!
Bowling
Who will get the best score: teachers or students? Bowling will help develop hand-eye coordination as well as teach students team building skills!
Nursing Home Ministry
We will bring joy and some festive presents to nursing home residents for our Christmas Party and concert!
Behind-the-scenes Airport tour
Williamsburg has an amazing airport with lots to learn about airplanes and flight safety! We will also enjoy the homemade delicious food at Charly's restaurant!
Local Playgrounds
Elementary kids can never get enough time on the swings and slides of local parks, so we plan to visit Kiwanis, Kidsburg, Upper County, and York River during the nice weather!
Holly Fork Farm
We look forward to learning all about the life-cycle of pumpkins and take one home! The petting farm, hayride, and other educational programs are also a big hit at Holly Fork Farm.
Chippokes State Park
After a fun ferry trip to Surry, our nature lovers will enjoy a fun educational program and then some time exploring unique animals! A picnic and stop at the playground will top the day off.
Heritage Humane Society
We look forward to learning about the pet rescue process and meeting some furry friends! We also plan to donate supplies to help our local HHS.
Fire Department
We will learn all about fire safety as well as the important work of our local fire department volunteers. Homemade cookies will also be a treat when visiting these community helpers!
Police Department
Our nature lovers will enjoy a fun educational program and then some time exploring unique animals! A picnic and stop at the playground will top the day off.
Library tours
We look forward to learning about how to use all of the resources of both local libraries in our library visits!
